چکیده

We present the discovery of NGTS-19b, a high mass transiting brown dwarf discovered by Next Generation Transit Survey (NGTS). investigate system using follow up photometry from South African Astronomical Observatory, as well sector 11 TESS data, in combination with radial velocity measurements CORALIE spectrograph to precisely characterise system. find that NGTS-19b is companion K-star, $69.5 ^{+5.7}_{-5.4}$ M$_{Jup}$ and radius $1.034 ^{+0.055}_{-0.053}$ R$_{Jup}$. The has reasonably long period 17.84 days, degree eccentricity $0.3767 ^{+0.0061}_{-0.0061}$. imply an age $0.46 ^{+0.26}_{-0.15}$ Gyr, however this inconsistent determined host star SED, suggesting may be inflated. This unusual given its large relatively low levels irradiation would make it much harder inflate. adds small, but growing number dwarfs main sequence stars, valuable addition we begin populate so called desert.

HD 147506b: A SUPER-MASSIVE PLANET IN AN ECCENTRIC ORBIT TRANSITING A BRIGHT STAR

We report the discovery of a massive (Mp = 9.04±0.50MJup) planet transiting the bright (V = 8.7) F8 star HD 147506, with an orbital period of 5.63341±0.00013 days and an eccentricity of e = 0.520± 0.010. From the transit light curve we determine that the radius of the planet is Rp = 0.982± 0.105RJup. HD 147506b (also coined HAT-P-2b) has a mass about 9 times the average mass of previously-known...

HAT-P-2b: A SUPER-MASSIVE PLANET IN AN ECCENTRIC ORBIT TRANSITING A BRIGHT STAR

We report the discovery of HAT-P-2b, a massive (Mp = 8.17 ± 0.72 MJup) planet transiting the bright (V = 8.7) F8 star HD 147506, with an orbital period of 5.63 days and an eccentricity of e = 0.5. From the transit light curve we determine that the radius of the planet is Rp = 1.18 ± 0.16 RJup. HAT-P-2b has a mass about 9 times the average mass of previously-known transiting exoplanets, and a de...

Photometric variability of a young, low-mass brown dwarf

We report differential I-band and J-band photometry of S Ori 45, a cool (spectral type M8.5), young (1–8 Myr) brown dwarf of the σOrionis cluster with a likely mass estimated at around 20 times the mass of Jupiter. We detect variability (amplitudes ranging from 34 to 81 mmag) and observe a modulation at a period of 2.5–3.6 h in both optical and near-infrared light curves. The most recent optica...

The Orbit of the Brown Dwarf Binary Gl 569 B

We present photometric, astrometric and spectroscopic observations of the nearby (9.8 pc) low-mass binary Gl 569Bab (in turn being a companion to the early-M star Gl 569A), made with the Keck adaptive optics facility. Having observed Gl 569Bab since August 1999, we are able to see orbital motion and to determine the orbital parameters of the pair. We find the orbital period to be 892 ± 25 days,...

HAT-P-13b,c: A TRANSITING HOT JUPITER WITH A MASSIVE OUTER COMPANION ON AN ECCENTRIC ORBIT

We report on the discovery of a planetary system with a close-in transiting hot Jupiter on a near circular orbit and a massive outer planet on a highly eccentric orbit. The inner planet, HAT-P-13b, transits the bright V=10.622 G4 dwarf star GSC 3416-00543 every P = 2.916260±0.000010 days, with transit epoch Tc = 2454779.92979± 0.00038 (BJD) and duration 0.1345± 0.0017d. The outer planet, HAT-P-...
